86% found the tool easy to navigate
79% rated the learning as either very or extremely useful
Brief
Create a supportive training tool in VR for Health Care Professionals (HCPs) to raise awareness of CRS and neurological side effect management protocols and seek to improve confidence in treating these adverse events after the infusion of CAR-T cell therapy.
Solution
Using Cassette’s in-house platform Pathway, four training scenarios were created for HCPs with a further two targeted at nurses.
Users are provided tools and information within the experience to assess and treat patients, either by administering medication or answering questions.
The training scenarios were replicated online as immersive web experiences, increasing ROI through increased reach.
A custom dashboard was developed for consolidating analytics from both the VR and web experiences.
Results
During a study in 2019, up to 150 HCPs were provided with a VR headset and experienced at least one of the four scenarios available at the time.
Data gathered from a survey reflected a likely improvement in terms of experience and knowledge of the proper management of CRS and neurological events after infusion of CAR-T.
Of the respondents, more than 79% rated the experience as either very helpful or extremely helpful.
