Policies
Privacy policy
How we collect, use and protect your personal data, and the rights you have over it.
Who we are
This policy applies to Cassette Group Ltd, registered in England and Wales, with its studio at 9 Bank Road, Kingswood, Bristol, BS15 8LS. For the purposes of UK data protection law, Cassette is the data controller for the personal data described here. If you have any question about this policy or how we handle your data, write to us at letschat@cassettegroup.com.
What we collect
We only collect what we need to run our business and respond to you. Depending on how you interact with us, that may include:
- Contact details you give us directly, such as your name, work email, employer and the message you send.
- Project information you share when scoping a piece of work with us.
- Usage data about how you use this website, such as pages viewed and approximate location, collected through analytics.
- Technical data such as your browser type and device, gathered automatically by our hosting and analytics tools.
How we use it
We use your personal data to reply to enquiries, deliver and improve our services, send you material you have asked for, meet our legal and contractual obligations, and understand how the site is used so we can make it better. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it to make automated decisions that have a legal effect on you.
Legal bases
We rely on your consent for optional analytics and any marketing you opt into, on the performance of a contract when we deliver work to you, on our legitimate interests in running and promoting the business, and on legal obligation where the law requires us to keep certain records.
How long we keep it
We keep personal data only for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, or for as long as the law requires. Enquiry correspondence is reviewed periodically and deleted when it is no longer relevant. Project records are retained for the duration of the engagement and a reasonable period afterwards.
Sharing your data
We share data with trusted service providers who help us operate, for example hosting, email and analytics providers, and only under contracts that require them to protect it. We may also disclose data where we are legally required to do so. Where data is processed outside the UK, we put appropriate safeguards in place.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to ask us to erase it, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. You can also withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email letschat@cassettegroup.com. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
This site uses cookies and similar technologies. You can read how we use them, and manage your choices, in our cookie consent policy.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be made clear on the site.
